The Jersey Association of Directors and Officers (“JADO”) held their AGM and annual summer reception on 4th July 2018 at the Radisson Hotel. The annual event, which was kindly sponsored by Collas Crill, provided members with an update on the roles and activities of the Association as well as a fantastic networking opportunity for members and friends of the Association.
The AGM saw the appointment of Vernon Breese, who founded the Association in 2011, as Vice Chair. Vernon commented ‘When I founded JADO I was recognising a need in the Island for an Association that provided a voice for members and encouraged learning and networking among its members. I am thrilled with the growth of JADO over the past seven years but we still have valuable work to do and I am looking forward to working with Zoe and making even more progress”.
Since the AGM Jonathan Freeman, Tim Rattray and Paul Clifford joined the JADO Committee. Zoe Dixon-Smith, Chair of the Association, commented ‘This has been my first year as Chairman of the Association and as a Committee we have worked hard to continue to provide our members with a valuable service. I am delighted to welcome Jonathan, Tim and Paul to the Committee. They individually bring key strengths and ideas that will develop JADO for the future and I am looking forward to working closely with them and our existing Committee members to further enhance the Association for the benefit of our members’.
The Jersey Association of Directors and Officers now has approximately 180 members from a wide range of backgrounds. JADO provides a unique forum for member communications as well as a conduit for information flow between industry and local bodies.
