Collection of Information
As a visitor, you do not have to submit any personal information in order to use the Site. The Site collects only personally identifiable information that is specifically and voluntarily provided by visitors. Such information may consist of, but is not limited to, your name, current job title, company address, email address and telephone and fax numbers. This can be in order to:
- Request specific materials or information by submitting an online form
- Register to attend a JADO event
- Register for one of our email publications.
The information required is necessary to enable to deal with your enquiry, but additional information may be requested to help us to provide the most appropriate response. If such additional information is requested, it is highlighted and its provision is voluntary.

- What sources and data do we use
We process personal data that we receive directly from our members. We also process personal data from publicly available sources (e. g., commercial registers and registers of associations, media, Internet).
The types of personal data that we process in this regard may include (but are not limited to):
- Name, address and other contact information (telephone, e-mail address);
- Personal information such as gender;
- Details of employment / directorships held;
- Why is my data being processed?
We process your personal data for our legitimate interests or those of a third party to enable us to:
- manage administration and membership of the Association; and
- contact members to inform them of news, presentations and other events run by the Association.
- Who receives my data?
Your personal data is processed by the Association and those individuals engaged by it. The Association may transfer your personal data to third party organisations from time to time to assist with the administration of the Association.
- How long will my data be stored?
We process and store your personal data for as long as you remain a member of the Association.
- What data protection rights do I have?
Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:
- The right to request access to personal data.
- The right to obtain information about the use of personal data.
- The right to require rectification (correction) of errors in personal data without undue delay.
- The right to have personal data erased without undue delay in certain circumstances.

To review, verify, correct or request erasure of your personal data or request that we transfer a copy of your personal data to another controller, please contact either the current Chairperson (Zoe Dixon Smith) or Aimee Maskell of AM to PM Secretarial Services (to whom JADO has outsourced secretarial and administration support) in writing.
You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Office of the Information Commissioner in Jersey and to lodge an appeal if you are not happy with the outcome of a complaint you have raised.
- Am I under an obligation to provide data?
You are not obliged to provide the Association with you personal data, but we need it to conduct basic administration of the membership of the Association. If we are unable to process your personal data, it would not be possible for you to continue to be a member of the Association.
- Changes to this privacy notice
We reserve the right to update this privacy notice at any time, and we will provide you with a new privacy notice when we make any substantial updates. We may also notify you in other ways from time to time about the processing of your personal data.
